2 reviewsOn arrival, we were given a friendly welcome and during our stay, found everyone considerate and keen to help. The apartment was warm and inviting with good sized rooms, a useful kitchen and responsive shower. The living room and bedroom had balconies. The TV had german channels with german subtitles which allowed us to try to learn the language. Internet was provided but we took the opportunity to stay off line and rely on german teletext on the TV to try to catch up on news. The hotel is well located for the town centre, the Thermal Spa, the railway station (putting Munich and Salzburg within 40 minutes reach) and for picturesque walks to the Simssee lake and I suspect, and will verify on a future visit, the Chiemsee lake. We would certainly check the availability of this hotel for return visits. The hotel can be reached by train from Munich airport, changing at Munich Ost (or Munich Hbf) for Bad Endorf station. The Bayern train ticket for family group travel is good value and provides flexibility. A free local bus service does operate around Bad Endorf but it’s probably best not to rely on it. Most days we happily walked from the hotel to the town but with luggage, in the dark and not knowing where to go, taxi proved a wise option but be aware Bad Endorf is a quiet town.
