German friends showed me and my family where this cafe was 2 years ago, we returned so i could indulge with more of my family.
The swan choux pastries are delicious just as i remember them from last time.
See you in another 2 years.


In addition to my last review about the bad coffee, I want to review this hotel again after a very enjoyable stay. I had a spotlessly clean, ensuite single room with a balcony, with a partly view of the idyllic swan lake in front of the hotel. The room had a very comfortable double bed and a good shower. Tv was quite old but did the job.
The breakfast was probably one of the best I've ever had anywhere, with outstanding fresh products ánd, this time, good coffee. 
There were many older visitors - this is after all Bad Bertrich - so it's very quiet during the night. Service was very friendly and the price was reasonable. I can recommend this place for a perfect and relaxing stay.

We had a lovely staying.  Good room with a decent bathroom.  Also a big terrasse with view on the lake. The breakfast is included. And I must say it is one out off a thousand. You got everything you need. Good quality products. And the staff is über friendly.From the boss to the employees.You must come and eat the desert. There also is a parking next to the hotel. For this price a excellent choice! You get the beautiful Park for free. Must do.

Friends and I were doing a six day motorcycle trip through Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.  Stayed here on night #4.

This is a beautiful setting.  A small lake right out front with swans provides a peaceful setting.  

I stayed in room 17.  The room was very clean and bright.  Wonderful room.  

The TV was very clear.  Regarding English channels, CNN is provided.  Carpet was very clean as well as the bedding.  There is a sitting area and small table.  Wifi is provided and worked without any issues.  There is a safe provided in the room.  

The bathroom:  the water is hot and there is lots of it.  The bathroom was immaculately clean and large and well lit. 

The hotel has a restaurant but was not open on the night of our arrival.  However, there are good places within walking distance to eat.  

The front desk is staffed during the day and management is at the hotel at all times, however, there is not always someone at the front desk.  

The swans:  on the day of our stay, the swans began calling at 5 am.  While adding to the charm of the hotel, they did awaken me and they continued calling until about 6:30.  I did sleep with my window open.  My friends slept with their window closed and they did not hear the swans and were not awakened by them.  

The morning breakfast was very well provided.  Coffee was tasty and hot.  All the food was good quality with great service from the staff.  

While I absolutely loved the room, the setting was nice and the hotel overall of high quality.  I would stay here again, but would sleep with the window closed.

Great location, bright, quality, peaceful.....don't let the swans fool you!

Excellent stay

Swan choux pastry Delight!! 

Their cakes and pastries are okay, although nothing special, but their coffee is absolute rubbish. I paid 3 euros for a mug of weak coffee (which cafe serves coffee in a mug?) and 2.20 euros for the worst espresso I've ever had: about one and a half sips of watery stuff. What a rip-off. You do have a nice view though of the swan lake on the other side of the road.
