466 reviewsWe were amazed to be able to reserve a room for three in this place in the city center just a couple miles from Neuschwanstein on the day before our visit there. We heard about it through R. Steves. The hotel manager (owner?) George was extremely polite and helpful. Really nice room, spotless clean, with a twin bed and a super comfortable king. Pillows were moderately firm, just right. All linens and towels smelled clean and fresh. Fixtures in the bathroom were high quality, and there was plenty of very hot (and icy cold) water. Delicious buffet breakfast. Also ate at the main restaurant. Quite busy, took a very long time to put in our order, but food was good, traditional Tyrolean. On site parking available, adequate for our small SUV. It was easier for us to drive to the castles than taking the city shuttle, as parking there was not an issue even though it was very busy.
