After checking out a few places (we tend not to book and do a 'look, see') we settled on this lovely, quiet abd comfortable guest house on the top floor of a family home.  Clean, comfortable beds and hot showers made our one night stay pleasant. Overall I found the prices of the guest houses in Zugdidi a little more expensive than the rest of Georgia. I would definitely recommend this guest house.

The guesthouse is nice and the owners friendly (but not much English spoken), but it is at least a 20 minute walk from the train station and is a short way from the town core.  Also, there is no sign on the outside so don't count on that when you're trying to find it!  The wifi was good, the place was clean, and it's a quiet street, so I had no real complaints.

A homely and comfortable place

Quiet & outside of town core

For the price of GEL 45 I was not expecting the Marriott. Basic room with no TV. Window could not close and the management had to wedge paper to close it and there was no heating. In late October this was a problem. Shared bathroom was not so appealing after several people had used it. 

On the positive side the location is great. If its somewhere just to crash then it may be a good choice.

Cheap but had issues

First of all... I don't know that I have had a more impressive shower experience. No joke, this thing is space-age with three different shower heads, lights, fans, and more.

Anyway. The place is a bit of a walk from the marshkrutas to Mestia and the train station, and was tricky to find... we knocked on the wrong door. The proprietor doesn't speak English but is very friendly.

The place is pretty comfortable, with access to a washer as well. Beware thin walls if there are noisy people in another room... I had to sleep with earplugs in because of a family with a small child awake late.

Comfortableish

Location: far away from the train station and also the marshrutka stand to Mestia. To reach the center it takes around 10 minutes on foot. Only sometimes taxis ply this quiet road. 
It is an old residential house with the upper floor made a guesthouse (only three rooms I think). There are no antiques (see below) - this is just older Sowjet stuff. The bed is ok comfortable. No breakfast served. No English spoken. No smoking in the room. There is an AC and wifi. Toilets/Showers are shared and ok. The price for one person (45 Lari) was too high.
