A bit variable level on the quality and service! Extremely arrogant people on the booking/reservation giving wrong info and then never apologize. Staff is very nice when it os slow, but most of the time they are understaffed and then unfriendly since they can not service everyone. If you get a dinner/breakfast time, they expect you to come much earlier, otherwise they become annoyed. I.e If breakfast is 7-9, you show up 8.30 they start taking away the buffe at 8.45? The free minibar contains two sodas and two beer😄.  Food is good and well prepared.

We loved the lodge!!!
 Our room was very clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed and the bathroom was also just right.
The view of the bay and mountains from the shower, bathroom and bedroom was wonderful.
Actually, the views from the pool decks and restaurant were fantastic, too!
We felt very welcome by everyone and there were attentive to our needs.
The food was delicious and at breakfast and dinner we had different options.
The tour to Hatiheu was amazing!
We already suggested that all passengers must be inside the car to enjoy the information provided by guide/driver, who is speaking in French and then in English. We were seated in the back side of the truck from where we had amazing views but no information during the time of transportation.
We were happy there!


An amazing lodge!

Stayed here last minute on buisness, I had a very pleasant stay, very clean and the food was amazing. All staff were very attentive and the room was very comfortable with amazing views. So relaxing and peaceful.

Amazing place to stay.

Lovely hotel with gorgeous view of the bay and a very nice dining area. There aren’t a lot of recreational opportunities aside from going on organized excursions. No bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, snorkelling is marginal due to visibility. Good for a 3 night visit.

I liked it here so far the view is beautiful and I am happy about the staff and they have a library as well. The rooms are good but the sockets in the wall are too old and some appliances. The balcony floor needs repainting. Helpful staff.

Très bièn, mais un peu antique

We sailed to the Marquesas from Panama on our 42' yacht. After 30 days at sea we wanted to have a cocktail at the famous Pearl Lodge happy hour on a Friday night. My parents were wondering if they could visit us here in Nuku Hiva and so we thought we'd kill two birds with one stone by having a drink and checking out the hotel. Our experience was one of strange disinterest. "Happy Hour" was suddenly reservation only even though the bar was empty and the patio empty. The restaurant was full of people in t-shirts even though my wife and I managed business casual after a month at sea. They did get us a prompt taxi ($5 USD per
Person) as we didn't want to walk the road back in the dark. We had a blast at the various Snacks (restaurants) and cultural festival (July). My advice is if your looking for actual high end accommodations you'd be better off on a different island and instead keep your Nuku Hiva experience more local. The island is charming even if the lodge is confused about their mission of hospitality.

Private Only It Would Seem

The cabins are made from natural materials and are located in the beautiful gardens  on a hill overlooking Tahaie bay. Hotel staff very friendly and attentive to the smallest detail. The excursions offered by the hotel were exceptionally good and worth the money and gave a detailed look into the Marquesan life, and that made the stay unforgettable.

Amazing scenery, great adventure

We’ve stayed in this hotel for 3 night - logdes were clean, well furnisher, bed was extra prepared before bed-time - which was very nice. We especially love the staff, who even got up early to prepare us breakfast at 5:30 - thank You again!
The pool is tiny, but it’s sufficient to relax after a whole day sightseeing. The pool bar offers really good variety of drinks, breakfast was fresh and colorfull.
Having in mind that we were in a hotel in one of the most remoted places on earth, far from quick-delivery, everything was as it shoul be. 
The hotel also offers a shuttle service to and from the airport.

The Marquesas were on the bucket list and we were able to finally check them off the list. This is the only Resort on the islands and what a wonderful Resort it is. The staff could not have been more helpful, welcoming and warm. The Bungalows where very Island Motif with amazing views of the Bay. We had booked a Premium Bay View with a spectacular view but unfortunately we were unable to climb the hill due to some mobility issues. The staff offered to move us to a wonderful Bayview Bungalow much closer to the reception area for our comfort. They went out of their way to help us with this move and accommodated our needs. The staff with, limited english, went above and beyond in making our stay most memorable. The excursions were top rated and you should book with them when you check-in. The trip from the airport to the resort is about 1.25 hours long. Remember, you are out in yhe middle of the Pacific, a 3.25 hour flight from Tahiti. The Marquesas and island people are amazing and you should go if given the chance. Vai nui Jerome, Jennifer, Yvanna, Daisy and all of the staff!
