Bora Vaite Lodge is ‘10 out of 10’, the BESTEST ACCOMMODATION  that my best friends & I stayed at whilst we explored a few French Polynesian Islands. 

Alan & Vaite (the Hosts) are AMAZING!….the most beautiful, caring, thoughtful, helpful, friendly, hardworking people! They spend everyday looking out for you; helping you; they never stop! 

I am SOOO GLAD that I booked this Lodge for my best friends & I, and we can’t wait to return! 

We’ll definitely only ever stay here with Alan & his beautiful wife Vaite!

BESTEST LODGE & HOSTS IN BORABORA

Vaïte and Alain were amazing hosts, they really made us feel safe in a new environment.  The shuttle service they offer is affordable which we used daily  and they told us where to eat with the locals and best times to shop at the local store for home made Tahitian food.  We stayed at Bora Vaite Lodge for almost a week and loved our time on Bora Bora and Temae Beach because of our hosts "No problem, BoraBora, no problem".

Great Hosts and Experience

Very helpful, very kind.Alain show us how to see manta rays near by the lodge.Alain give us many many good informations about the island..all the family is very nice .When we leaved , he gave us a nice shell necklace.A very good adresse to stay in Bora Bora.

Alain and Vaite are warm and kind hosts. I am a returning guest and this time was at least as good as the first one. They are truly go beyond expectations to make the guest feel home. Lovely people

The pictures do not reflect the propriety. We were really surprised once arrived. Next to the main street so really noisy. Fare from the city. You also need to pay for the AC... Alain is really friendly nice and helpful.

Unexpected

Owners very helpful and available to transport. They speak mostly French but we could communicate our needs in English. They had all ammenities we needed. 5 min walk to the bay where we snorkled with Manta Rays. We hiked from the property to the top of Papoti mt. with a spectacular view. Small patisserie in walking distance.lIt's North East on the main island and away from South tourist areas so count on 2000-3500xpf for cab or rides each way for shopping, restaurants and the more crowded beaches. Some traffic and dog noise at night with windows open, but AC is available for a fee. We had a great stay for a good price.

Enjoyed my stay at Bora Vaite Lodge! Alain and his wife were very welcoming. The room was clean and the bed large and comfortable. I thought the stained bed sheet was probably ready to be thrown away though. There was plenty of room in the communal areas and the kitchen was well stocked. Breakfast is included which was a nice touch!Was only in Bora two nights and didn’t have transport but Alain is able to offer lifts to town for a small fee which was very helpful as the ‘pinpoint’ on Hotels.com and Expedia is incorrect - it is not in Vaitape.

Great continental breakfast, often with home baked sweet bread or donuts!

The best is the host/owner Alain, who is available for transport rides for XPF 1000  to&from and arranged  a good trip. A really good breakfast is available for 1000 XPF per person. Our little apartment (2 bedrooms, living/kitchenette/bathroom and balcony) was simple, small but fine. 

 The issue was that it is directly at the road so there is serious traffic noise. During the entire stay we couldn't lock our front door due to a problem with the frame/rails.

 If we would have been aware upfront, we wouldnt have come. Alain tried to fix it, but it didnt work and experts are not available right away, we understand that, but its not our problem....Nothing happened,  owners live below  and most of the time someone is present, but still. we normally appreciate a safe deposit box......

Annoying was that the lodge was not in the vincinity of Vaitepe as the map on Hotels.com suggested, but on the north east side of the Island and remote. Ok Alain compensates that with his flexibility and a nice and affodable  breakfast but still if we would have known the correct location we would not have selected this lodge, Too far away from Vaitape or Matrira Beach.

The transfer to from the airport ferry is included !

So please arrange mentioning the correct location . Also the location on Google Maps is incorrect. I believe the location is indicated correctly on the  map of  AirB&B.
Wifi signal average FP with 5 mbps max download and 0.2 mbps upload speed  very weak, but average in FP.
