Went here with the kids to meet some friends for hiking trips. Lovely campsite with friendly staff. Sanitary building was very clean and everybody was required to wear a facemask. Certain areas were closed at times for cleaning but there was never a shortage of facilities. Reception took orders for bread the day before. You are required to wear a head protection in the pool. All in all a fantastic stay and we will be back. Next time we bring the bikes as well.

Stayed here for 4 nites beginning on July 2019 and was very pleased with my stay
I rocked up with no reservation but Manageress Pillar who spoke perfect English found me a nice spacious spot for my campervan no problem, toilets and cleaning areas were immaculate , fridge freezer for your ice boxes was a good thing, covered pool for the kids and the Lake itself is a 2-3 minute walk away, Gerardmer is 9k drive 
I came to cycle so the col de schlucht,Markstein and grand ballon are all in the area 
Just don't get the pizza from the visiting pizza van 9 euros for a terrible pizza
Great campsite would deffo recommend

Stayed 14 nights in the motorhome spending the days out cycling with mountain ebikes. 

Were warned on arrival they were demolishing the summer toilet block so there may be some noise but stayed anyway as we were up early and out during the day while it was going on. On the plus side I guess there will be a modernised block in the middle of the site at some point as well as the heated winter facilities. 

We bought an ordinance survey map in reception for 12.50 euro and used this to get to La Bresse Hohneck off road bike park (note it closes in sept so the last Sunday was 16th this year). Got to lots of the surrounding peaks via a mix of tracks and small roads. Definitely worth it as there are simply miles to ride but so many it’s easy to get lost. 

Although I had washing powder it was useful to note that the 5 euro payment for the washing machine got me a token and a wash tablet as well. It’s a very large Maytag commercial washer so got a big load in it. 

As we stayed 14 nights we got 4 free so worked out at just over 14 euro per night for the two of us in a big motorhome with electricity on a premium pitch which seems pretty good value for money. 

Lady in charge of reception very cheerful and helpful and spoke English. 

List in the reception so you can order bread or croissants which are delivered each morning. 



Spent three nights here in Sept and loved it. 

Only a handful of people here, premium pitch with 10amp electric is 4 times the width of our motorhome and must be over 10m long as our 7.5m motorhome fits with loads of room to spare. Cost just under 22 euro which is pretty good given they have a covered indoor heated pool which was lovely to use after a day of cycling. Just make sure you bring speedos if you are a bloke as long shorts not allowed. 

Showers, toilets etc in the main block are all heated and clean, which is nice now it's cooler at night/morning being later in the year. There are clothes airers you can use to leave damp clothing to dry which would be useful if raining. 

A handful of things available to order such as bread and croissant, and beer, wine, crisps available to purchase. Really designed for self sufficient people who have stocked the fridge up well before arrival at this time of year as nowhere to re stock without driving. 

Lovely mountain stream running through the middle of it. You can hear vehicles on the road but it's a relatively quiet road without much traffic at night. 

We found it great to cycle to a variety of the VTT routes and were given a map at reception. Will definitely be back as the views are amazing. 

Cycle path to the lake which has other campsites, snack bars etc on it starts by campsite entrance. 

 

Beautiful surroundings for lovely walks and swimming. We had a really great time camping with 3 childern! The swimmingpool is nice and warm. The  bathrooms area is nice and clean. The family bathrooms are very conventient. The owners are very kind and helpfull. You can rent a fridge which was very handy. The only thing that could be better is the bread service. You have to qeue in line every morning and can't order and pay in advance. 

In walking distance to the lake, with own swimming pool, play garden and small rive an ideal camping for families with kids. A lot of animation, different types of food trucks and everyday fresh bread. The owners are very helpful and willing to make your holidays optimal. We've been here twice since our daughter really likes to be here

E Bike paradise...good value with 4 nights free

Great for mountain biking VTT routes 

A variety of pitches and other units such as pods.  Catering for families and very close to the lake and forest walks. Also a running brook through the site which whilst picturesque does pose a H&S issue for smaller children.

We rented a lodge tente and found it to be comfortable.  However, when you arrive, if you are not very literate in French, then  be prepared to do quite a high level of administration, on arrival, on interpreting or translating the a very small font inventory of equipment and utensils, which if not there when you leave,  will be a levy which is itemised. The management had not been bothered to check it at all and relied upon us a as a customer to do this.  When we noticed that a lounge chair was missing, it was a good job we mentioned it as this would have cost 200E!

Despite the site catering for young families, we were surprised to have to suffer with a bad and very loud techno disco on the Friday before we departed, only finishing by 11.40pm and audible from our location which was not that close. As many families renting accommodation would be departing early on Saturdays, this does not bode well.

Wi fi not available at peak times - be prepared to get up early or use it late.

The site's toilets and showers are not well invested in and you'd be advised to wear flip flops.  The site is rife for a potential  epidemic of novo virus as there is no santiary soap liquid provided in the toilets. People go from toilet to cooking, quite literally.  Therefore, it doesn't matter what  hygenic  practices you have, unless you want to wear sterile gloves everywhere there is a risk.

Some of the staff speak English well, often the younger members of the team who are drafted in to help with the season.  

The small and partially covered swimming pool is a plus although it is highly chlorinated and there are no showers within the pool area to promote hygiene.  However, the contradiction is that males still have to wear speedos!

My review is poor because for the price I paid for the accommodation, I feel the service and amenities were not matching and the investment in the site, other than revenue geared units and pods, was lacking.

Beautiful location but well under par campiste and devoid of any hygiene systems and standard
