Valerie was the perfect host and we enjoyed our 3 nights in her and Phillippe's converted Silk Factory. Valerie arranged for us and our luggage to be collected from the station - on top of this Valerie had left a bottle of wine in our room as an 'apology' for not greeting us herself on arrival. Gorgeous breakfast included special touches of Lyonnaise pastries. Valerie was helpful with suggestions of local places to see and encouraged us to try a Bouchon where we could discover the delights of Lyonnaise food. We used the Metro and also walked from the Chambre d'Hotes into town. We loved Holiday the Jack Russell and wanted to bring home with us. The Basilique Notre Dame de fouviere and Roman Amphitheatres are both worth a visit.
