Very nice hotel in front of the SNCF station. For one night, it's enough, the bed is good, the bathroom is minimalist, TV, wifi. But it's just for one night and not for holidays. Not very cool, sixty-year-old furniture.

Practical

Refurbished room...what should the others be?! Cleanliness of the dubious sheets, obsolete common parts and with a smell of persistent moisture, court view and fan of the neighboring kebab whose noise barely covers that of trains! It is impossible to sleep in these conditions in the middle of summer without air conditioning of course. A towel for two...but this is only a detail in view of everything else. If, like us, you can't find another place to sleep, you prefer not to sleep at all. The result will be the same with an extra €60 in your pocket (Note: you get paid as soon as you arrive because otherwise it's that you don't pass the door of the room clearly!)

It's unforgettable.

The rare and not poor rating is due to the kindness of the person who welcomed us, extremely available and attentive to the needs of the customer. Attracted by the price offer and the central location of the hotel, useful as a stopover on a bicycle trip along the Rhône, we realized that we made a mistake in choosing this hotel that I would call very unsightly. The elevator has a terrible smell and gives signs of malfunctioning. The room we stayed in is a lounge with stained carpet that makes us want to change hotel. Bad experience not to repeat. The low price of the hotel is not an offer.

Except for kindness.

Actually, I have a weakness for simple French hotels. For a modest price, many of them offer a friendly, charming neighborhood. But this one doesn't belong in this category. It's rather shabby and has fallen down. That doesn't change the friendly reception either. The optimal location for train travelers in front of the train station faces major flaws. We stayed upstairs, sixth floor, which is supposed to be the best rated. The second bedroom was narrow, there were storage facilities except for a 30 cm wide niche, the fountain was not defective, the shower we could only run a little warm, and the WiFi made the reception celebration.

Shabby without chic

It's very close to the train station and to the Mars Field. It's old, it's old, it's old, it's old, it's old, it's old, it's old, it's old, it's old, it's old, it's old, it's old.

Close to the train station, close to the Champ de Mars esplanade, a few restaurants nearby, old-fashioned but clean, average litter, old-fashioned bathroom, special house because it's closed when we arrive around 10am, but just ring the bell and we'll open up.

Don't go in there!

this probably is the worst hotel i have stayed at. on arrival it was locked,had to go accross the road to gain access.to start the lift was dirty,in the room the carpet was disgustingly stained,the bed covers dirty not sure about sheets. no hotel staff to complain to.the shower had no hook and when showering water went in ever direction.
i have stayed in many hotels this one is terrible

one night stop over

Stayed here while cycling the Rhone. We were recommended a hotel opposite the Hotel de Paris but when the tourist information phoned we were advised that the recommended hotel was full but that the owner had recently taken over the hotel across the road. The hotel was clearly in need of updating but the room we were in had been renovated and was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was good. Internet did not work in our room but was available in the common area. While I would not necessarily recommend it, there is nothing radically wrong with it. Prices were reasonable.

Stayed in this hotel 4 nights. Mediocre and anonymous both outside and inside, it has some old furnishings and needs to be modernized. Normal accommodation, at a certain time the door closes and to enter you have to type a code in the door. Elevator sure to be replaced locks up many times. Reserved and non-expansive staff. Very convenient position for the city center reachable in very few minutes on foot. Parking is not a problem because you can park under the train station where for the whole night the ticket costs €2.
