Résidence Prestige Odalys Le Domaine de Lana

We stayed in September 2014, three adult couples and an eight month old child. There were three bedrooms on the upper level, where there was also a shower/ toilet. The downstairs bedroom had an ensuite bathroom. The Basque style villa was modern and spacious, well-equipped with a large dining table, cutlery, crockery, 2 x TV, cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There was also a garage plus additional space outside for a second vehicle. The grounds containing villas are well maintained, with a swimming pool and security gates requiring a passcode. The villas are located in a quiet, narrow country lane between Socoa and Ciboure, near St. Jean de Luz, a pretty seaside village with a great market, bars and restaurants, as are Socoa and Ciboure. Being located between townships meant that a drive was necessary for shopping and beach activities.Both Socoa and St. Jean de Luz had good beaches. A short drive to Leclerc supermarket. Also handily placed close to the motorway to get into Spain and San Sebastian an hour away. Pascale, the on-site Odalys representative was not there every day, but was contactable by mobile phone. She was superb with her help, arranging a baby chair and bath for the 8 month old when we checked in. She also brought us fresh bread and croissants from the bakery on our first morning. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she spoke excellent English, although I tried my schoolboy French on occasion. Would recommend for quiet family holidays.
