Hotel des Célestins

We stayed one night here to break a scenery-seeing journey through France. It's well located by the river in the town, though a little out of the very centre. There are walks (and ski-ing ) in the nearby forests. We paid a very small amount extra for a river outlook which gave us a spacious room with a terrace (& loungers) and a big bathroom (c/w welcome bathtub). It was quiet and the staff were friendly - the only downside is that Reception doesn't open till 1800, and parking was in the street wherever you can find it. We ate in the hotel restaurant (the town seemed a bit dead) and we had an excellent meal, and a good breakfast in the morning. Altogether we had a very comfortable night at excellent value for money. A bit of a quirky place but recommended.
