We have just got back from a week at La Comte in Portbail, and we are really sad about it. I could have stayed forever! The house is beautiful, with a wonderfully homey feel. Very spacious with a huge garden, which we spent a lot of time in. There are a variety of different fruit trees/bushes which we were told to help ourselves too. We made great use of the bbq area, which was big enough to cater for our 8! Janette is so helpful, friendly and approachable. She is full of information about the house and the area too. We were made to feel so welcome, especially by our 'holiday dog' Lucky! The house is only a short distance from Portbail and the beach. My brother in law and his girlfriend rode to the beach on the tandem a couple of times! A wonderful house run by wonderful people in a stunning setting! What more could anyone want? Definitely hope to return one day :)
