Seemed cheap enough when booking though I had to book a twin room for my daughter and myself which was rather more expensive than the equivalent double room for same guests!

Easy to find off the autoroute.

Room was clean and functional.  A little too functional! There were no bedside tables. Just a couple of small coat hooks next to the bathroom. There was barely any space for the suitcase in the room with us!

Also only light in room was around the corner near the door. Which meant it was a little dark in the main area of the room (there was no light above the beds).

Not yet has breakfast as writing this before going to sleep.

Very, very roomy, too cloudy at night impossible to sleep in the morning at 7:30 someone is welcome to hand over the room cards no breakfast before 8:30 too late for a passing hotel I won 't be back

This is in such a great location for a stopover, it's a great shame that the hotel is so bad. The rooms are filthy (and I mean really filthy) and reek of tobacco smoke, despite there being No Smoking signs everywhere. The bathroom stinks of drains. There were no towels and no soap. In one part of the hotel, the ceiling is coming down. It was quite simply a horrid experience. Any upside? The receptionist was charming and helpful over the phone (the hotel was unmanned when we arrived).

Candidate for worst hotel

Dirty room, paperwork under the bed, leaking water, suspicious traces on the bathroom walls... no response from the staff to these multiple concerns.

Hotel to Escape

Already the reception is unfortunate the person does not have our reservation as we should have done by phone where we had booked two rooms next to each other and with breakfast, so we had to make two separate payments but she can't do two things at once.

That's unfortunate.

Tourism

We had a very hot, uncomfortable night at the formule 1. The lack of air conditioning meant that we found it very difficult to sleep at night.Other budget hotels in the area in a similar price bracket benefit from this and it makes all the difference. Our night was further disturbed by three selfish guests who decided to sit up drinking until gone 1am in the car park..I went down to ask them to move but would have expected hotel staff to ensure they did this. My wife emailed ahead to request a travel cot for our 8 month old baby, we received no reply and on arrival were placed in a room on the second floor, about as far away as you can get from reception, in a building without lifts. No travel cot was provided. There were people coming and going in the downstairs area without masks when we arrived. The room itself was basic but ok, the toilet stank though and there was a dead fly stuck to the ceiling above our bed. Breakfast was good for €4,50. All in all, I would not stay here again. There are far better hotel options in the area for just slightly more money. If you value your sleep, pay the difference!

Not brilliant

I'm writing this review to help people who want to book a hotel, I would never have shared this negative experience if customer service was up to it, but unfortunately they haven't wanted to know anything for a month.

Get out of here!

We just spent a night in this hotel...a shame to sell such rooms, yes it's a first class so not luxury expectations, but cleanliness expectations. It's a disaster, we were on the second floor, room 230: stained corridor carpet and very dirty. I'm in the room, very dirty floor, walls and windows probably never washed.

Fleeing with shame

On our trip to Normandy, we stayed in this hotel overnight. The price for one night was very affordable, but I wouldn't book this hotel again. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke and there were fire stains all over the carpet. There was hardly any storage space and the room overall made an impression that it needed a major renovation. The cleanliness was ok, but it could have been better. Towels would have cost an extra price and were not included. The staff at the reception were generous. Unfortunately, there is no elevator, you have to drag your luggage through the stairs to the upper floors. Shopping opportunities, but there was no room at all to drive to Recharge Center.
