Myself and my new wife wanted to take the time to say thank you to Luke, Linda, Paddy and their whole family for making our wedding the most memorable day of our lives. We rented the chateau for a week for 28 family and friends! It was eventful having that many people however the grounds grave everyone something to do, the pool was fantastic for the while family and the BBQ area was used every night!

We completely recommend this chateau for weddings and all family events- the family and team that work behind the scenes couldn't do enough for you! 

We will be booking for our 5 year anniversary! Thank you! 

What a gorgeous place!

We went to Domaine des Granges (also known as Chateau des Granges) as a large group with more children than adults for the first week of July this year to celebrate my 50th birthday party. The chateau itself is perfectly laid out for adults, children and teenagers. There is plenty of space and furniture for everybody to be able to relax inside if need be. There is a separate part (The loft) which is great for teenagers. The bedrooms are lovely, some even very pretty, and the Josephine Suite is very special, its bathroom is a dream. 
The grounds are lovely and mature with tall trees and lawns, and while walking around there you can get the feel of a fairy tale, when you let the imagination flow. 

There is a pool house, a pool table and a grass pitch for ball play. There are plenty of lounges around the pool and a long dining table also, and there is a fridge and kitchen facilities in the pool house. There is also a seating area where you could find the teenagers hanging out.

We made use of the catering facilities and I'd like to say a big thank you to Padraig and the others for making the table settings, the meal and ambiance so special on the evening of my birthday celebrations. We have lovely memories of it all.

Part of the reason why we enjoyed it here, beside the place itself, is that there is a feeling of the chateau being lived in, so that when you bring children they can be themselves and relax around the place. I think the children and teenagers had a great time enjoying the freedom of this.

It was a very pleasant experience booking the place and dealing with Linda in the months up to our stay. She is very professional and takes any sense of hassle out of it, that you might otherwise feel, when booking on behalf of a large group. Thank you for that Linda.

We were unlucky as there was an electricity fault in the area and while Padraig was working hard to fix it, it meant that we only had cold water for a day and a half. Not much of a bother, since it was so hot there. 
Because of the wet spring the area had experienced, the amount of mosquitoes was uncomfortable, which meant we had to sit in some evenings whereas we would have liked to make more use of the dining area by the pool. 

The pool could have been cleaner and the house could have been hoovered a bit better before we arrived. Some of the mattresses could be of better quality.  We have let them know this and they say they'll take it on board for future guests.  Dealing with  Padraig was a pleasure and he worked hard to solve any issues that arose.

The chateau is 500m from Souillac, which is a lovely town with small craft shops and an inviting square for meals and drinks and there are art exhibitions in the church on the square. The Water park Quercyland  has many big  and small slides, plenty of sun lounges and a restaurant/bar. The evening meal we had there was very tasty! You can also rent canoes there and our canoeing trip on the river was also a lot of fun.

All in all a very enjoyable and memorable holiday that our family will hold in our hearts for a long time :-)
