Stayed last night at this chambre d'hotes. What an experience it was an amazing.The food was absolutely delicious and the breakfast was superb. The welcome you receive makes you feel as if you are staying with friends. The house is full of interesting objects and the dining room with its wood panels is redolent of a grand country estate- albeit a smaller version. The yellow room is beautiful and unlike other guests we were not disturbed by the traffic. Merci bien pour une tres bonne sejour

What a super place- right away from the towns and large villages. We made an error in booking and came the day after! Lysiane and Alain the hosts were most reasonable and we got a room and a terrific welcome. They speak only French so our conversations were a strain on our language skills but that was a good thing.
We had booked a meal, but unfortunately missed that by arriving on the wrong day and it being late in the afternoon. But they were super- we said just bread, cheese and wine. We got a delightful variety of local cheeses, warm baguettes, coffee, cakes, fruit and our own wine which we shared with Alain.
This is a taste of the real France and not to be confused with large international hotel chains. Much preferred and a place to re-book if travelling back that way.

A lovely stop over for us not too far from Oradour-sur-Glane, the village the Nazis massacred, where we visited. The breakfast was fantastic and the French couple who run the place were very friendly. I wish we had had an evening meal but maybe next time. The place is full of interesting antiquey things. Highly recommended

Hard to find and a little out of the way, this home is just beautiful.  Your hosts could not do enough for us,  beautiful people, not much English but we were about to get by.

The house is 400 years old and beautifully decorated

Wow what a place

A pretty place to stay under the roman bridge

The hosts were lovely people but unfortunately the accommodation was not up to the level we expected. The room itself was ok, although the toilet and shower cubicles were separated from the bed by only a curtain. However the furniture was antiquated (some would say quaint) and the double bed very small. There were no curtains and you could not shut the shutters as a brick on the window ledge prevented this.
There was continual noise thoughout the night from (we presume) the boiler, and if someone else used their toilet or shower then the water could be heard running throughout the building. 
The "lounge area" was full of books and newspapers and we had to clear a space at the table to give ourselves somewhere to sit.
Yes, it was a quaint old French Property and the hosts were lovely but, to be honest, not up to modern day standards
