Cleanliness let down an otherwise lovely campsite in a good location. Staff really didn't care. We pointed out human poo (from a toddler) on the patio of the pool to staff and the next day it was still there. Contacted the campsite after visiting to complain about the cleanliness of the site and they were indifferent. 

Dirty site which let it down

Please be aware that if you are camping or caravanning at this site then there are a few things to be noted.  Firstly there are only two areas to get fresh water to fill water bottles or aquarolls. Huttopia in their infinite wisdom has removed all fresh water taps from around the site. The main tap to use is near the motorhome service area, however, be aware that this is the chemical toilet disposal area, so if you fill your fresh water barrel the chances are that the hose has been used to wash out someone's chemical toilet. The second place to fill your aqauroll/ water bottles is by the toilet block, however, be aware again, whilst we were there I witnessed a few residents washing out potties and other 'things' with the fresh water tap.
When you approach the site please be careful as the pot holes in the road just as you enter the site will damage your suspension on car and caravan.  No one seems to care about these and are the site seems happy to let them stay as they are and just get deeper.
We have been holidaying here for many years now and have seen the site depreciate into an expensive, unloved and unlooked-after site. 

Be aware of Huttopia Saumur

We stayed one night (because we were in transit). The access could be a little more neat by closing the alley holes on arrival. The reception is friendly and the shaded locations are satisfied. All the water points of the campsite are condemned (probably for ecological or economic reasons. And why not). Clean toilets however the structures and their access could be more neat. Campsite in the very large majority occupied by the very noisy Dutch during the day and until 10:30 with children who are clinging and parents who admire their profession talk too loudly without worrying about the pool. We left another campsite however, which was filled with Holm and this was not the thing at all.

Okay, let's just say that...

Just booked this for next month. Did not reilise they had added a 20 Euro booking fee until after I'd paid. My fault for not checking, but very steep, and I would of not booked here had I reilised. Oh well, hopefully it's worth the 2 nights!

High-quality location spacious and separate home very medium mixed sanitary man and woman for a 4 star very limited alleyways a bit sloppy view of the Loire nonexistent and no access campsite but very quiet let's be disappointed

A fantastic site in a rural wooded location, only a few miles from Saumer.  Great pitches, very clean swimming pool.  Toilets and shower rooms were exceptionally clean.  The whole site is so natural with trees and views, very helpful staff and we will certainly return and recommend

I was planning on spending a few days there, but I can't put an umbrella bed in the rooms of a mobile home because it's too narrow.

It's too bad.

No animation in the evening, very dirty paddling and small outdoor pool, mobile home with broken glass on our arrival, the self-styled restaurant that offers two boards and a few pizzas, very poor connection

Not exceptional

We had a Classic 5 tent for 6 nights at the end of August, so was just at the tail end of peak season. We were a family of 5 with older teenager and adult son & daughter. 
We've camped at several Huttopia sites and this is now one of our favourites. The staff were very welcoming on arrival and helpful through out the stay. The toilet/ shower facilities were good and clean. The bar and terrace were lovely with choice of pizza's or sharing boards.  There atmosphere at the bar/terrace in the evening was a good mix of relaxed but with bustle and activity of family/ friends chatter and children playing. The three pools were well used and well maintained. The covered pool was very warm.
We really liked our tent and the pitch. The whole stay was relaxed and we thoroughly enjoyed it. 
I wasn't expecting there to be much to do in the area, but was wrong and there is a good choice of places of interest within reasonable distance. I'd really recommend a visit to the Bio-park, which we all thought was thee best zoo we've visited.

Lovely and welcoming camp site

Horrible arrival yesterday afternoon installed in a location near playground.... what to say, the toilets are not clean and this playground!!!!! what a scream, scream and scream... we can't hear at the table I'm a mother of three children and I know they can let go but there's no way the kids are playing the faucets and no one says anything... and when the little ones finally go to bed and well lace the older ones.... I'm sorry I didn't even care to look at the reviews before booking and not worth the stars that were given to her and there it is and at 1:30 and the toilets are still dirty too... four stars all of...
