Salines Garden Cottages

The owners, Jean Philippe and his wife Laurence are warm, gracious and very interesting; if you get a chance to chat with them, do. Our room was equipped with a big kitchen and large breakfast table area. There is air/cond. in the bedroom. Bed was large and comfortable, cleaned daily. All the cottages were full during most of our six night stay, however the atmosphere feels very quiet and private. Pool was great for a late night dip. Salines Cottages are tucked away up against a mountain, in a private, gated, beautifully landscaped, compound. The location is perfect for exploring the island, minutes from St. Jean and Gustavia. 3 minutes from the cottages, by car you will find the best beach in the world ( in our opinion) Plage De Saline. There are three very fine restaurants within walking distance of the cottages; we ate or drank at all of them. During our 15 night stay on St. Barth. we visited quite a few 5 Star hotel establishments for lunch or drinks but we were delighted to come back to Saline Garden Cottage at the end of the day. Felt like home away from home. Highly recommend staying here when visiting this fascinating island.
