Finally, I can say I had great luck in reserving 3 rooms for our party of 2 fathers and 2 daughters at this hotel. Although the rooms were very large and quite well appointed, it was the restaurant and owners that won the day for us. The food is now prepared by the owner's nephew and evidently, he had a good teacher. Mr. and Mrs. Schori have been running this place for many years but still are on top of everything. Mrs. Schori acts as the Maitre D' and Mr. Schori hangs out in his office just upstairs from the restaurant. The rooms are in an annex. The menu is filled with old time favorites: terrine maison, ris de veau, carre d'agneau and saumon a l'estragon. All were excellent and arrived at the table right off the grill. The rooms are a bargain at 135 euros (June 2018). My co-father had to fax the US several times and Mr. Schori could not have been nicer in helping us accomplish his faxing but also in helping translate part of the communications. The highlight of the evening was the most perfect Epoisses I ever ate. It was runny but not too sharp. This hotel-restaurant is a real find considering I knew nothing about it except it was close to Vezelay. I highly recommend it. Lorenzo
