Le Saison - Les Patios Rennes - Saint Grégoire

Very belated review of our five-day stop at Les Patios in July. I suspect most people only stop a night or two, but it ticked all the boxes we wanted for a relaxing break and so easy to get into the centre of Rennes on the bus. David and Christine are marvellous (and very down-to-earth) hosts and this bijou hotel in the fringes of suburbia is a dream. We had the pool pretty much to ourselves for most of our stay (the few other guests tended to arrive late in the afternoon and leave soon after breakfast), though it was sufficiently hot that we frequently retired to our cleverly designed air-conditioned room (right next to the pool area) to read and laze. Christine made sure there was always a wonderful spread for breakfast, even if we seemed to be the only ones there, and even gave us a bag of pastries for the trip home on our last morning. Wouldn't hesitate to come here again if in the area, especially as the lunches and dinners (reviewed separately) are so good.
