Gites Ferme de la Baie

This cottage is a wonderful place to base yourself near Mont St Michel. The interior contains lots of wood and has a spacious kitchen/diner, cosy sofa area and modern bathroom. (Be aware there is only one shower between 9 people potentially.) Henry and Ruth are extremely helpful and were more than happy to answer all our questions; when issues arose with the cottage, they responded immediately. Things to do: there is a wonderful, large forest/park with lake, several play areas, cycle paths, little electric boats for hire, low and high ropes courses and a cafe on the lake; there is a beach with cafe and play area and coastal path about 15 minutes' drive; Mont St M is about 15 minutes' drive; for an idyllic beach bay, it's about 40 minutes' drive and I'd suggest Le Verger; St Malo is also about 40 minutes and absolute tourist heaven; there is also a completely off-road cycle/walking trail (Voie Verte) very close by that runs all the way to the coast and along it. Two things to be aware of: 1. The rooms are quite cosy/tight. 2. There are greedy chickens that roam freely outside and will gladly steal food out of your hand! I would definitely recommend this gîte and would back, given the opportunity.
