Impeccable experience at this hidden gem of a hotel.  If you are looking to escape, or find a spotlessly clean hotel with personal service we recommend highly.  

Beautiful location with amazing views and great hikes nearby.  The town has some great restaurants but don't miss the room service on the patio of your room while watching the bay.  

The core staff of Eric, Valerie and Paul were delightful and helped with transportation and our shifting itinerary.

Lovely boutique hotel perched high on the mountainside; with awesome views from every viewpoint.  Each room has huge balconies for viewing the Mediterranean. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms. Delicious meals; luscious breakfast buffet.

Hotel le Tomino is a rare gem! The views from the rooms is breathtaking. Our rooms was splendid and the large private deck was a welcome oasis of tranquility! The hotel staff were all super friendly and helpful, even with a few odd requests we had. They made us feel very welcome and their hospitality was warm and endearing. The food was delicious! We were so lucky to have found this place in an unspoiled part of the world!

Unique and modern hillside hotel with a fabulous panoramic view overlooking the bay of Macinaggio and its busy marina. It's cleverly and environmentally designed, and efficiently condenses all that a guest can require into a neat compact area.

There are only six rooms; four above the main block and two to the side. Those at the higher level have a spacious outdoor terrace with an unobscured coastal view, and a fixed covered area plus two good-quality sunbeds.   A small swimming pool, which we didn't use, is at ground level. And it has an infinity edge...with a great view, of course.

The rooms themselves are quite functional with all the expected facilities and there's not a lot of wasted space.  Plenty of storage available adjacent to a large italian style shower (note very slippery floor). Also ample washroom tops and large efficient hairdryer. There's a minibar and hot drink facilities tucked into a separate area and the front half of the room is just mainly the bed (quite comfortable) and a small table and chairs. Air conditioning is easy to operate and works well. Cleaning and servicing is discrete and effective.

Public areas are on the ground floor and, again, the design is quite economic. Other than a small reception desk and a barely used bar, most of the space is taken up with the breakfast buffet area and a small space for dining - although most punters gravitate to the narrow open terrace to enjoy that view.

Breakfasts are ample but you won't get a vast range of choice or overflowing heaps of produce. Output is carefully managed but there is always enough. Bread quality is excellent, and we enjoyed grappling with the juice machine - whole oranges by far the most productive, peach slices the least, we learned. Coffee is sourced from a thermos jug although cappuccino or espresso can be provided at a small extra charge.

Evening meals are also available with a fish and meat options each day apart from Sundays. The lady of the establishment has her own bespoke kitchen positioned next to the hotel entrance - the interior of which is all quite visible from the outside. Excellent meals are well presented and genially served by the owner. It's quite special having an evening meal on the terrace and enjoying the view as the sun goes down. Probably the most elevated dining experience you can get in Macinaggio in more ways than one.

There's ample parking on the non-view side of the hotel, which is reached via a winding road off the main coast route. Macinaggio, the largest town in Cap Corse, is about a 5 minute drive away. There's loads of free parking and several informal restaurants. Fish is the big thing here and pots of moules meuniere are prevalent. Cap Corse itself is fantastic. Unspoilt and very natural and really well worth exploring via the scenic coastal road from one side to the other; Porte de Centuri not to be missed.

Verdict; excellent and unusual hotel in a secret gem of a location. Friendly and welcoming owners are a reassuring presence.

Superb hotel with very nice and comfortable rooms. We had 2 rooms interconnecting - from the terrace - which was good as our kids are old enough to sleep on their own. 

The pool was good, even though it was very basic. But who would want to use a pool in Corsica. There are a lot of nice beaches to experience!

Breakfast was good and offered a sufficient selection of items. 

Dinner was outstanding. The menu changed every night. The selection offered authentic cuisine of very high quality. Not to be missed!

The hosts were very helpful and warm. They did not hesitate to offer advice and recommendations. 

Overall, a very nice hotel, clean and well maintained. Highly recommended. Will surely be back!

What an amazing experience! This hotel lays in a wonderful setting with extraordinary view on the sea, Italian islands and Corsican mountains. You are welcome by the owner and his wife who is an amazing cook. They both make you feel at home and guide you to your room where the views is even more breathtaking. The style of the hotel is simple albeit of of superb taste, using natural materials. This is not a hotel; this is a delightful contemporary house where it is a privilege to be a guest of such wonderful hosts, always available to satisfy your request with an amazing smile and communicating energy. 

We stayed here for three nights. The personal is really helpful and friendly. Even with my bad english and bader french we could communicate without any problems. You have to test the brunch and dinner, it was totaly awesome. The pool as a sight over corse.

Lovely hosts, we were alone at the hotel, they made us a great breakfast, the hotel is new and spotlessly clean. Our room was a little small but for the price we paid it was a bargain! It has a wonderful terrace. The hotel is ideal for a 2 to 3 night stay for people who love nature.

Beautiful tranquil new hotel and restaurant in Cap Corse. Only 5 mins drive from nearest little marina town. Architecturally it's beautiful with stunning view of the sea and hills. Very nice manager. Would have liked a little more atmosphere - a touch of music in the car etc, as we were the only people staying at the time it felt a bit deserted!

Beautiful stylish retreat

Very charming hotel, quiet (only 5 or 6 rooms) and in very good condition (it had just opened when we went there). The pool and the terrace have an amazing view over the bay. We stayed in the smaller (and cheaper) room which was great but we wished we chose one of the big ones as they have a much nicer private terrace. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We had dinner at the restaurant one night. It was not very busy but the view compensated and the food was very high standard.
