Great stay..

We knew that this was just for one night, but boy was it basic. The absolute bare minimum a hotel can provide, and the cheapest possible beds/sheets/blankets/bathroom imaginable.

Do we regret staying here - no! We needed a place to stay for the night, it was cheap, available and in a good location.

Breakfast had great bread and croissants, bed was comfortable enough, and there is a good sized pool too.

Glad we didn't need to stay any longer, but no regrets that we spent the night.

Basic, no really, basic!

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on a group tour in September 2016. It is located out of town and could be a base for exploring Avignon and its area for groups with a bus, such as us, or tourists with a car. The area is quiet, not much to do but sleep, but a good sleep you can get.

The room was rather spacious, modern, mostly clean. Big bathroom with a bath tub. The bed was comfortable. There was no air conditioning, which was fine in September, not sure about summer months.

Free WiFi was available, you need to ask the receptionist for the password. It did work, but was very slow. Enough to check your email though.

The breakfast was very small, the first morning we got only bread, croissants, yougurt and coffee/tea. After our tour guide had a talk with the staff, the next morning we were additionally given one slice of ham and two slices of cheese.

In summary, the hotel was fine for our group tour, but if I return to Avignon again, I will look for a better place.

Average hotel out of town

A hotel a bit out of town with a pool. With that everything has been said. We booked for 5 persons so we needed to get 2 rooms, we are used to that. However, the 3 person room had 3 double beds so it could have easily allowed us to be in 1 room for the one night we were passing through. Sorry to say but not a place I would go back to (regardless of having to book 2 rooms unnecessary).

Stop over hotel, nothing else...

First, this is not a hotel but a one start motel.
It looks like on the last couple of months people fight and scratch the door room.
The smell of tobacco is all over the corridor.
Air filters and toilet seat are not clear for years.
I don't even need to talk about holes is the bathroom floor, no hanging for the shower...
If you still plan to book a place there ask to check the room before pay otherwise you will not see your money back if decide to not accept the room.

Worst experience ever!

After a long drive we stopped and decided to check in as we were both tired. I asked for a twin room with two beds. There were two women on reception which appeared to be related and the owners. She took my credit card and charged me for the room and breakfast. She then directed me to the room which was a long walk across the ca park, up flights of stairs and along a very long corridor. The room was dirty and desperately needed redecorating. It had one double bed which was sunken in the middle. As we has asked for two beds and the room was so dreadful I returned to reception and asked for a refund as we didn’t wish to stay. The younger woman said she needed to check the room and went off carrying a young child. About 10 minutes later she retuned. The older woman then that as we had been too long in the room she refused to give a refund. I told her we had been less than 4 minutes in the room. She then became very aggressive and started shouting. We left and I said I would take the matter up with my credit card provider which I have done. There are no facilities on site, nothing to eat or drink and a poor pool. This place is a disgrace! 

Beware! It’s terrible! 

Don't book this hotel if you ask me. We booked it for one night but we arrived late for the last check-in. There was no backup or anything for those arrived late. It's horrible. They just let you hung out to dry! I couldn't believe this. The other hotels would at least have a backup plan (i.e. locker). I got there late because I got lost on the way and no or weak phone reception.

This not really a hotel but a motel. It's drab and the facilities are poor. Breakfast was expensive for what was offered. 
In fairness the room was spotless and the shower curtain didn't actually have any knife cuts in it.
This Motel is not good value for money.

The Bates Motel

We missed the last check in time when we realized the reception is locked and closed, but there had been no calls or emails sent to us telling us that we will miss check in!! I mean I could have got loss on the way or missed a flight or train. This is horrible.
