This is an ideal little hotel right in the tourist heart of Royan. My room facing the park and sea with terrace (smoking allowed there only) was perfect for my requirements. Traffic overnight was absent, never heard a sound from adjacent room, except the terrace. The air con was perfect, modern well equipped bathroom and firm mattress single bed with light duvet. A large breakfast choice is available at 12 Euro but no hot dishes. The reception staff were most hospitable and helpful and even allow you to converse in French. Royan railway station is about a 20 minute walk away and the Bac to Le Verdon just 10 minutes up the road.
