Le Sévigné

We stayed at Le Sevigne for a week. We were visiting Pierrelatte for a wedding and wanted to stay a week to visit the area. We chose Le Sevigne as the other hotels in Pierrelatte appeared to lack character. The B & B is a large town house on the main street of the town built in the 16th century and is full of character. There are only two rooms. We were met on arrival by the owners Kathelijne and Luc who could not have been more friendly from the moment we met. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was large with a large bathroom, free wi fi and tea and coffe making facilities. Towels were changed every 2 days otherwise we were left alone but if we needed anything we were just to ask. Breakfast was ready for us every morning - ham, cheese, assorted bread, pastries, cereals, juice, home made jams and assorted teas. Varied slightly each day. Every morning we were asked if we would like a fresh cooked egg. Luc had a good knowledge of the area and recommedend places to see and eat. Pierrelatte is not a touristic town but has a full range of shops, supermakets, bars and restuarants. There is so much to see within 1.5 hrs drive. Wonderful stay in a wonderful house with character with hosts who genuinly want to provide the perfect stay.
