Les Temps Gourmands

The property is in the middle of nowhere - making it a great little place for a peaceful and quite weekend escape. It's easily accessible by car and there's plenty of open parking on the property. When we arrived, we were greeted by the owners, a friendly young couple, who speak a fair amount of English and a even a little bit of Dutch. The hotel is small and cozy, with the restaurant on the ground floor and around 4-5 guest rooms on the first floor. There is also a garden in front, for chilling out on sunny days. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. There was a separate toilet and a bathroom with a shower. Beds were comfortable and we slept great. If you stay here, then you certainly have to stay for dinner. The husband is the chef and he can certainly cook! We a had an excellent culinary experience, comparable to a star restaurant. There is a menu, but take a look at the 3 or 4 course set daily menu. Taste was excellent and all the dishes were beautiful presented. Finally, we were only there for one night and thus, only tried one of the wines on the menu - the Pinot Gris as recommended to us - and it too was excellent. If I had to knit pick, I'd say that perhaps there could be some more savoury options with breakfast - there was only some very strong aged local cheese and the rest was sweet (delicious croissants, baguette with assortment of jams, and other pastries). But this also comes down to the local customs. Overall, great! Thank you to the owners for an excellent experience!
