When coming to Perpignan my boyfriend let me pick the Hotel, and he was greatly impressed with my choice, in fact even I was. The pictures do not do justice to how lovely it is inside- it fits Perpignan as a city perfectly, the old marred with the new and trendy perfectly. Having read other reviews of the place I can see their point, although I think they miss the point. Walking in feels like walking into an architectural ruining (in a good way) but with arty decorations and installations. The rooms are spacious and luxurious and comfy all at once. Bernard had breakfast with us, let us borrow is bottle opener, gave us directions, in fact we felt more like his guest that a paying visitor. If you want a standard service in a personality-less hotel then this isn't the one for you- however, if a well restored, well decorated, beautiful and quintessentially French hotel is something you may like- then this is the choice for you.
