I can’t say enough good things about our experience at Peniche Mirage on the lovely barge boat. Our host and hostess, Johnathan and Barbara (and kitty, Melisse) were thoughtful, hospitable and so welcoming. The experience was very unique and totally off the beaten path. The boat sits in the Canal Du Mudi close to where other boats pass but yet it’s calm and quiet. You’re also a short drive from town, about 10-12 minutes. Watching how the boats come and go is an awesome and entertaining in itself. Our room was comfortable and cozy and we fell in love with their house cat. They provided us with a “welcome drink” and a tasty breakfast. If you like create unique memories during your travels, this is the place to be!
