482 reviewsThis is a good place to stay if you're looking for a clean and simple low budget place to stay in a great location to explore from. We stayed for a couple of nights. Our room was on the top floor, and yes there were lots of stairs, but this is an old building so that was to be expected, as were the uneven floors - I found it quite charming as our room had sloped ceiling so it felt like we had a Parisian garret with views of the roofs! Also we may have been on the top floor but we still got WiFi! Was really very pleasantly surprised at how very comfortable the bed was - I have problems with my back and didn't suffer at all, was wonderful. As were the crisply laundered heavy cotton sheets. The room was clean and having an in room shower was great. The toilet wasn't far away, far prefer to have a shared one rather than the English habit of trying to cram everything into a tiny space. The reception staff (of whom I met 3) were unfailingly polite and helpful, and happy to store our luggage despite not using the airport transfer. Although the hotel doesn't take cards there's a cashpoint at the end of the road so it wasn't an issue. The location was great, lots of local shops and market at the end of the street, likewise with good bars & bistros and the metro, though we didn't actually use it as everywhere was walkable. Would definitely stay here again for a trip where I want a central location to explore from.
