Saint Quentin

I stayed here in summer 2015 for one night. I had a single room with a private shower and a shared toilet across the hall opposite my room. The room was small and cozy, with a working television set. The bathroom came with basic amenities and the shower was in good working condition. The bed was clean and comfortable - I slept well. This hotel is ideal for a person arriving to Paris via Gare du Nord. Obviously there are grocery stores, restaurants and shops close by, and the vicinity of stations makes it easy to travel further in Paris. I was also happy to stay here because I didn't need to pay for public transport the next day when I returned to London via Gare du Nord. However, the area might get a bit restless during the night. I remember hearing fighting and screaming right behind the shared toilet's window. Despite this, I felt safe staying in this hotel (the only noise I heard from my room was the traffic, as the room window was facing the street, which I don't mind). It's a budget hotel, so don't expect luxury. It's very basic, but also rather cheap. Bonus points for the free wifi that seemed to work fine in my room. Good for a few night's stay.
