Le Charles Sanglier

Dab smack in the middel of the ancient city center. This small hotel with only a few rooms sports a manager that really tries to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The room (we had the Paris room) is small but clean and neat. The (separate) toilet was really cramped for a tall guy like me. The shower had a funny jet system and you really need to climb into the shower (no bath) so this doesn't really work when you have reduced mobility. It was quite warm when we were there and the room has no airconditioning. Sleeping with an open window causes the nightly noises of the city center to enter your room. (It seems there are always people that need to yell in the streets at 3 o'clock at night). Breakfast is brought to your room at the agreed time and consists of coffee, tea or chocolate, baguette, cheese, jam, some vienoiserie (croissant, chocolate bun) and orange juice. Although the manager said he could not cater for gluten free bread he added and egg, some fruit (apple) and yoghurt for my wife who's a celiac. All in all a very pleasant stay in a cute hotel at a great location.
