Villa Aurenjo - Bed & Breakfast

Stayed here for three nights with my dog. Arrived about two hours early for check in - wasn’t a problem at all. My room was ready and the I received an incredibly warm welcome from the owner. Car parking is on site - you just need a code to open the gate. My room was at the front as you come in. It was really spacious, a huge comfortable bed, seating area with high stools, tea and coffee facilities and a massive bathroom / shower area. Two little seats and a table outside my room. The real delight comes as you walk through the property to the other side where there is a fabulous patio where it’s quite easy to spend a couple of hours. There’s a good sized swimming pool and some garden area for the dogs - including a little river pathway. There’s an honesty bar for (good) wine, beer and soft drinks. There’s also a small gallery in there too. Breakfast is fantastic - if anything way too much of it! Bread, pastries, jams, muesli, fruit, meat, cheese, smoothies, eggs as you want them and of course coffee and tea. WiFi is better in this part of the property - very strong actually. There are two lovely dogs, one very friendly - it’s a dog friendly property so do expect that. Location wise it’s great - just a five minute walk from the restaurants and just under ten to the Theatre Antique which is a must do when you visit. Likewise the vineyards of Gigondas, Chateauneuf du Pape and Beaumes-de-Venise are around 15 mins drive away - makes for a good drive out. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again - it was wonderful.
