Kyriad Dunkerque Loon Plage

We have rated nearly all the criteria as "very good". In absolute terms, some would probably say that the hotel is a little past its sell by date (carpets in the hallways could do with being changed, room and other deco a little drab, etc.) but it is clean and quite well equipped and perfectly met our needs for this stay, at a highly acceptable price, almost the same as the much more spartan Première Classe nearby. We'll gladly go back next time we're taking the ferry from or to Dunkerque/Dunkirk. The staff are very friendly and helpful - e.g. there is normally a kettle + tea/coffee service in the room, but because of theft (even though the kettle provided can only work on the wall-mounted fixture!) the kettle is not permanently in the room. All we had to do was ask at reception and we were given a kettle immediately. It is very conveniently located near the ferry terminal and the Poivre Rouge restaurant right next door is well worth a visit for the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff.
