We stayed here one night in May 2018 as part of a road trip around the region. The hotel is central and a short stroll to the beach. The rooms are basic but equipped with all we needed. The free parking is a real bonus and the whole price was a bargain for what we got. Hotel reception closes 3-6 so check in was via the restaurant but that was made clear to us before we arrived. We ate here for dinner and had no complaints. I would happily stay again. Clean throughout, good location and we slept well.

Spending two nights during the shoulder season gave us a chance to experience the warmth of this little hotel. The staff were friendly, rooms immaculate, and the location could not have been better.  This was our first visit to the lovely SW Atlantic coast of France, and I dare say, not our last.

Bargain budget hotel

Sweet, family run 2 - star in the heart of Mimizan

On a positive note, this is a good location and I had a very warm spacious room with plenty of power points for charging phone / camera etc and double shutters on the window, ensuring a good nights sleep. 
The staff were pleasant and helpful in ensuring I got a parking space. 
There were some very nice decorative touches in lobby and stairway and overall, it was a cheap option for one nights stay.
However when entering the room, the first thing I noticed was that the carpet was definitely grubby and there was a stain of some kind of mold or damp on the ceiling. 
There was no full length mirror to use when dressing - either in the room or the bathroom.
The bathroom itself was spacious enough but the shower was tiny and the soap tray was broken.
I am aware that it was end-of-season and perhaps that was the reason for the shabby look.
The breakfast next morning however, was very disappointing for seven euro and consisted of one croissant with jam and butter, a piece of baguette, a coffee and a small glass of juice. I have seen even chain hotels offer a far better buffet selection for that price.
The restaurant itself may have been good but was closed when I arrived down for dinner - no mention of this was made when I checked in!
