Péniche Daphné

I stayed here recently for a night and loved it! The room was more spacious than I expected (keep in mind it is a boat - so the room is not huge but has everything you need. The bathroom also functioned very well with a shower that was bigger than I expected based on past experience with boats. Sitting on the deck on the Oise was lovely. The day we arrived was very hot, but here there was quiet and a cool breeze. We received wonderful recommendations from the owner for dinner and she prepares a lovely breakfast (included). This is like a B and B so the owner is not that all the time and if you need to check in early - even to leave your luggage, you should call first to see if something can be arranged. The walk is about 10 minutes from the train station and if you have a car, there is nearby parking. Lastly, we received incredible help getting to our next destination - including a ride to a bus stop to catch a bus we would have never found on our own. This was just a wonderful place to stay.
