This is the second time that I have stayed at this hotel. On both occasions I was on a cycling holiday and just passing through. The dining room is great - though it's a real pity that there is no evening meal available here. The view over the river below is stunning from the dining room. The room was comfortable and as were the beds. When the owner was present we were made to feel welcome. She locked our cycles in a secure store room, which was great. The hotel is very central and within easy reach of decent places to eat. Value for money was OK, but not great. · Breakfast could have been better. The coffee was disappointing. It is described as a hotel but we found that it was closed until 16.00 and had to wait three hours to drop our stuff off, which meant that we didn't really have an opportunity to check out the sights in the pretty town of Mayenne.
