Mas Predon

Travelling La Provence on June 2013 we decided to book into a nice place in St Remy de Provence and make daily excusrions into the beautiful scenery from there. After being unhappy with our first hotel decision we scanned the internet and found Mas Predon via http://www.iguide-hotels.com/. We booked 4 consecutive nights and arrived at St Etienne due Gres a day later. Beatrice and Francis the owners welcomed us warmly and showed us our room "Le Soleil" which was even nicer than we had expected from the pictures. Being originally 300 years old provencal farming estate Mas Predon was transferred into a charming and relaxed holiday residence. Using old building materials the place kept its original atmosphere but lacks no comfort. 3 guest rooms with a dedicated lounge a entrance hall gave us a comfortable home for ou holidays. A natural style swimming pool situated in a nice herbal and lavendel garden refreshes you from a rest on the multiple sunbeds. We were more than happy to see the open poolhouse kitchen with fridge, oven and a great Weber BBQ for free use of the room guests. We stored our food, coooked delicious meals and used the Weber BBQ each day. Francis served a delcicious French breakfast each morning in the sun or on the rare occasion of rain in the spacious and beautiful kitchen. Our hosts gave us such a nice family atmosphere that we prolonged our stay twice and stayed 10 days in total, meeting other longtime guests, playing Petanque (boule) and enjoying our holidays on multiple excursions to Montpellier, St Remy, Les Baux, Aix and other places. Being totally unobstrusive but when asked having plentiful of tips where to go and what to see Fabris and Beatrice tried to give us a good insight into the Provence and its beauty, cultural activities and the sights to see. Don´t be shy if you do not speak french, Beatrice and Francis will do their utmost in French to communicate with you and keep you informed. Summarizing our experience Mas Predon sets a new standard for us compared ot other Chambre d´hotes. We felt welcome, taken care of and looked after and enjoyed the facilities of Mas Predon. We have already decided to come back!
