Entre montagnes et lac

We spent three nights at this delightful chambre d'hote and loved every minute of it. The lovely room had a small private terrace where we could watch the sun go down and the moon rise over the mountains each evening. Bathroom was luxurious with plenty of little extras. Each morning our charming host Elisabeth prepared exquisite breakfasts with all kinds of little things which we were able to eat on the main terrace until rain on the last morning drove us indoors. Everything was organic and locally sourced. Elisabeth willingly shared everything - her garden, her maps, her knowledge of the area and herself, with much laughter and conversation. Nothing was too much trouble. The local village has an excellent boulangerie, charcuterie and small supermarket all selling local produce and a range of organic goods. Sadly we weren't able to try the local restaurant but its menus looked tempting and Elisabeth recommended it. The time passed too quickly and we are now looking forward to a return visit when possible. A real gem.
