Oasis parcs - Jardins des Sables d'Olonne

Husband myself and three children aged 6,7,8 stayed for one week. The villa was great offering two toilets, two showers and separate bath. Fully equipped kitchen. We were next to the road so a little overlooked but this did not bother us. We couldnt find any English channels in the tv but bought dvd with us for the children. Children loved the private pool (we chose not to heat our pool and was a little chilly but the week we went the temp. Away max 22) as well as the communal pool, we were allowed to take our drinks from our villa to enjoy by the pool. We ordered croissants one morning which were cheap and delicious, husband ate pizza and paella from bar several evenings again good price and enjoyable. We ventured out of the complex most days, going into sables de ollone, which was a lovely seaside town offering great beaches and restaurants. We managed to find free parking as this was expensive and once walked in, it was far (roughly 3.5 miles each way) but the children were kept entertained by walking along the beach. Beach great for surfing! We visited the nearby grand defi, much more than your usual high lodge but cheaper. Lots of choice of supermarkets all within 10 minute drive. Would love to go back but only downside is weather which you cannot guarantee, must days were 22 the week we went although the week before and after were night twenties!! Even though only 22 if you were in the sun it was lovely and did not feel cold!! The Villas are all private owned, layout is the same but the furniture and decor and maintenance can vary a lot but we were lucky. Children enjoyed the onsite park and mini golf (although this had seen better days) There are little lizards wandering around which the children thought were great!!
