A few years ago, a nice meal, a good address, a reputation, a little rough staff, if you were known, you could have the tables overlooking the Sarthe, or the ones near the sanitation, a little bit of apartheid, so I ran away from that restaurant to meet the ondines who had developed from a nice terrace.

We had a good family meal. The dishes were delicious and the products were of good quality. However, we have to ignore the decoration that is quite old-fashioned. The room is quiet and the view of the Sarthe is beautiful. The waiters are pleasant and attentive.

A pleasant meal

Nice staff and a warm place even though the quality/price ratio is a little disappointing given the condition of the room which leaves a little to be desired. The main lighting was not working, the only light available being that of the small headlight. Tapestry is a little spoiled; the rest is level. No door between the night space and the bathroom space as I said before. I spent two nights there and I will not have an exceptional memory of it.

Well, at least for the best.

We found a doorless room between the night space and the bathroom/wc space to our surprise... we also notice the tapestry ripping apart from place to place... the only positive point of the hostel is the view of the Sarthe River. The price/quality ratio is not correct, the night is not worth more than €35 in my opinion. If you can do otherwise, go your way.

Disappointing hotel

Manu92 - this lunch on 01 08 2012, a difficult day for a car trip, was very good and cheap (we had taken the first menu) and fast (we were 3). The fish was very good. The setting on the waterfront terrace is nice and the staff too. Recommendation for couples or families!

Very good for lunch and in a pleasant environment

Rate was excellent, but the room was VERY tired... carpet in bathroom; squeeky floors and saggy bed (twins we put together).  Would recommend, with reservation, as it was somewhat convenient to the wedding we attended.  Booked on booking.com

Good for Budget Travel

We arrived at this hotel with high expectations as our first night en route for Santiago de Compostela.  I had booked it on line and thought the locations looked lovely and that the rooms looked fine for the price.  However, on arrival we found our room to be dingy and very out of date in the decoration department and the en suite consisted of a loo behind a curtain which every time it was flushed sounded as if it was about to take off, and the shower was behind a door.  When you opened it there was a nasty sweaty smell, and the shower when turned on sprayed out of the flex.  The Restaurant was on river bank which was lovely, as expected.  When we asked for a local dish we did not look at the menu, but the Waiter offered some Eels.  It turned out that these were the most expensive items on the menu.  In general I feel that with a bit of care the rooms could be updated but at the moment i cannot imagine anyone wanting to return a second time.
