Rate was excellent, but the room was VERY tired... carpet in bathroom; squeeky floors and saggy bed (twins we put together).  Would recommend, with reservation, as it was somewhat convenient to the wedding we attended.  Booked on booking.com

Good for Budget Travel

We arrived at this hotel with high expectations as our first night en route for Santiago de Compostela.  I had booked it on line and thought the locations looked lovely and that the rooms looked fine for the price.  However, on arrival we found our room to be dingy and very out of date in the decoration department and the en suite consisted of a loo behind a curtain which every time it was flushed sounded as if it was about to take off, and the shower was behind a door.  When you opened it there was a nasty sweaty smell, and the shower when turned on sprayed out of the flex.  The Restaurant was on river bank which was lovely, as expected.  When we asked for a local dish we did not look at the menu, but the Waiter offered some Eels.  It turned out that these were the most expensive items on the menu.  In general I feel that with a bit of care the rooms could be updated but at the moment i cannot imagine anyone wanting to return a second time.
