L'Ecrin du Lac

Stayed in an apartment last week of June. The apartment had all types of comfort for a relaxing holiday; dishwasher, oven, automatic shutters/blinds, air conditioning. The promised washing machine was missing but to compensate we received tokens (could also choose another apartment). Our ground floor apartment had a large terrace and view on the lake (probably not as much as the apartments above us but we enjoyed it). Staying there with two people it was a luxury to have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. All looking very neat. The shower was pleasant. We brought our own bed sheets and towels and cleaned the apartment ourselves (saved 80,-), all materials were there. It's quite a walk (and climb back) to the swimming pool / reception area but well worth it. Because of this walk; definitely bring some food and drinks to the pool if you're planning to stay the afternoon (even though you are not allowed). The swimming pool was clean and had just the right temperature. More than enough sunbeds but it's still pre-season. We had a very quiet and relaxing holiday. This changed a bit the last days when Spanish neighbors arrived who were very loud. The apartment hall is very noisy and 4 children playing football on the outside terrace caused some irritations. The park had a small beach area but we visited the Baie St Michel, highly recommendable. Also visit the market in Chorges on Sunday morning. Downsides: - dependence on a car: you don't come far by foot. - no bread ordering service available in June
