My husband and I just recently took a vacation in France, in the Loire and Saumur Valley. The area is known for their beautiful countryside, many wineries, ancient castles and quaint villages. We stayed at Demeure de Beaulieu a 16th century Chateau B&B which is owned and run by Stephanie Lemerond. Stephanie was born and raised in France and also lived in America for over 2 decades, so it was very helpful for us that she spoke fluent English. The Chateau has been totally renovated and decorated in an elegant European style. The grounds are very large with well kept landscaping, an outdoor pool, and koi pond. Stephanie is a very outgoing and gracious hostess who helped us with restaurant and sightseeing choices. Our breakfast was included in our stay there. Every morning Stephanie would run out to the local bakery and would serve us fresh pastries different breads with homemade jam from a local village. Also on the menu was fresh fruit, yogurt, variety of cheeses and local deli meats to choose from. We had a glorious and relaxing stay at the Chateau and highly recommend staying there.
