Hotel & Restaurant Le Mejean - Parc des Expositions

Looking at the reviews for the Hotel Le Méjean, I was concerned that it might have gone downhill since we last were there, but we decided to go back there anyway. We could find no other hotel that approached their wonderful price and also had a free shuttle to the airport plus a restaurant in the building. We were not sorry that we had made this decision. The people working there were just as friendly as they had been on previous visits, the restaurant still gave us very good meals at very affordable prices, we had no difficulty whatsoever reserving their airport shuttle for the exact time we needed it. We had requested a room with twin beds, which they gave us. The room was simple and rather small, but it was clean and quiet, and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom looked new. We chose to take breakfast there. It was not an immense spread, like the breakfasts at Holiday Inn, but they had charcuterie, baguettes and croissants, jams, honey, butter, cheeses, yogurt, etc., and also a dish of assorted fresh fruit, plus -of course- coffee, tea, etc. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for luxury, I strongly doubt that you'll find a hotel at anything near the price charged by the Hotel Le Méjean, and which also includes a free shuttle to the airport and has a good restaurant right in the hotel. We will return again.
