We are staying for 10 days in a 4 person house (mobile home) at the campsite. The house is very clean, well equiped and comfortable. The campsite is very quit and has a ping-pong table, pétanque, a playing field and we have rented bicycles. The campsite is located near all the castles we like to visit. Also its close to Tours, Amboise and Blois. The lady at the reception is very friendly. A big recommendation.

I'd read the reviews about traffic noise,however Thought I'd give it a try. In the tent I heard traffic throughout the night,but it was very hot,I couldn't sleep,so it's fair to say that the traffic didn't have anything to do with any lack of sleep. A very warm welcome on arrival,clean showers,toilets etc and wine available in reception if like me,you arrive on a Sunday. There is a very limited bus service to Tours on Sundays,but again I knew that. The bar/restaurant  didn't open until 18:30 hrs, so unless your'e in a motorhome or caravan,you could,dependent on arrival time, have a wait in the heat. THEREFORE,DO NOT ARRIVE ON A SUNDAY WITH A MOTORCYCLE AND TENT UNLESS PREPARED.The pitches are earth,rather than grass,so again if on a motorcycle with tent and it rains,you'll find it muddy. That apart, it's an ideal stopover,the restaurant was great ,good food,wine and friendly staff. Would use again.     

Smallish site convenient for Tours. Road noise and workers living on site. Fairly level pitches. Some in deep shade. Gents toilet block could do with a refurb. Brilliant receptionist showed way to walk to supermarket and river beach. Also where to catch local bus; where to get off in Tours and what to see. She made all the difference to our stay.

We use this for an overnighter whilst on our way to the Dordogne.
Friendly and helpful check in our pitch was changed when the warden saw the size of the caravan.
Did have an issue with tripping electric hook up think it may have been my fault.

A lovely rustic site with all of amenities for over night and longer stays
We ordered pizzas as couldn’t be bothered to cook they were delicious good fillings.
Ordered baguettes for the morning 

Made some friends who kindly helped with my electric issues many thanks for that Ron 

Would definitely stay here again

Very nice stay

We spent one night in Camping les Acacias during our 18 night, 12 campsite tour of France. We chose this campsite for its proximity to Tours and chateaux.

The facilities were clean and of a good value - actually enjoyed the music being pumped into the toilet block.

Excellent location approximately 7km cycle ride into the centre of Tours along a cycle path alongside the Loire river.

Excellent value for money - the cheapest of all our camping stops

The issues were relatively small pitches, lack of electricity - we had to join our normal electric cable to our 20 m extension lead to reach the closes available electricity point.  There were points closer but already taken - including 2 to a permanent holiday home.  

Not sure about the evenings entertainment. We didn't attend but not impressed by the loud singing until 10:30pm of questionable quality. 1 Grey waste and toilet Waste hidden away in the corner of the site, not easily accesible.

Basic campsite for 1 night on France tour

This site is at the top end of my three star rating, but I felt I couldn’t give it a four because it doesn’t offer a pool and other extras many families like, or a well stocked supermarket, more choice in food etc. However, it is set in a lovely, wooded area and our site was spacious and shady, and well set back from the road so we had none of the noise issues others mentioned. In fact, it was really quiet and we slept very well. The amenities are a little dated but they are really clean. The only negative was the price they charge for the washing machine. At €7 a wash, this was the most expensive we’ve paid on our road trip over the last 6 weeks. If you’re visiting Tours, the bus stop is about 500 metres from the site and takes about 25 minutes. The river is about a kilometre away from the park. We had a very pleasant stay.

Location is the best thing this place has going for it.  For two nights it was incredibly noisy with people staying up late at night playing loud music and arguing.  Our neighbors left without getting a refund for a night they had payed for because it was so noisy.  Also, really poor handicapped facilities

Near Tours

We spend four nights here in march as we had to be in Tours. We stayed in our motorhome and choose a pitch away from the noisy road. 
We were quite disappointed. There was no hot water for the washing up and we had to pay 5 euro for one dog who did not get anything for that. If you pay that much money for a dog you would expect a dog shower.....or at least some "free" pooh bags.
The toilet and showers were oke. All the notes were quite amusing and the fridge also as it is a library.
All in all we would not have stayed here if we had found a better camping that was open this time of the year in the vicinity of Tours.

Close to Tours

Pretty rubbish really, pitches muddy, toilet block no path to building, steep steps with no handrail and no basins with mirrors to shave except in disabled toilet/shower. Only two hot water sinks for washing up.. Site not lighted well, good luck finding the toilet block as no signage. Disabled toilet very long distance from pitches behind bar/restaurent along with cassette waste point. Drinking water points not working. 
This site is only suitable for one night stopover going on somewhere else. Gone downhill and really moving towards static provision with campers coming last.

Bad getting worse

When we arrived we both got bad feelings about the site but thought we should give it a chance as we had paid for three nights. The first night the music was playing until around 11.00 pm which we thought was acceptable. On the second night the music was playing loudly until at least 2.30am which is definitely not acceptable. The male showers we in a poor state of repair with one shower out of use one in a poor state of repair and one ok. We left after two nights loosing our money for the third night. Next time we will follow our instincts.
