L'Oustal de Vézac

We found Hotel l'Oustal after having difficulty finding an affordable small hotel or AirBNB for 5 people. We were traveling with 3 adults and 2 smaller children. However, because we totaled 5, most booking engines served us larger establishments/rooms that were above our budget. After calling several places, a proprietor suggested Hote l'Oustal. We were able to book a family room - essentially a suite with separate sleeping areas (one on the ground floor and a second in a loft) with a shared bathroom. The staff was very helpful, helping us book a taxi for the day of our departure, and then making follow up calls when our train was canceled and we needed to reschedule the taxi to another city. The swimming pool was refreshing at the end of the long, hot day. The beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioning was great. The breakfast buffet had a lot of variety and featured local cheeses, as well as a variety of fruits, proteins, and breads. The hotel also had a small bar to satisfy guests with a light dinner. The hotel was an easy drive to Sarlat, Domme and all the other sights of the Dordogne region.
