The Originals City - Hotel Restaurant A Pic

I've giving the Campanile Cherbourg - La Glacerie a rare 5-star rating, because a review should be about the totality of the experience, not one specific item. The Campanile is a good value for the money, clean rooms, ours had a bathtub with handshower, free WiFi, free coffee/tea service, all the amenities required. The price is moderate. As motorcyclists touring Europe, we choose this lodging because it has parking and a restaurant open for breakfast and dinner. It worth the price, and is a greata place to stay if you're awaiting the ferry to Ireland. But, the reason for the 5-star rating? Mmy wife was not feeling well. Normal check-out was 11:00AM, and our ferry didn't depart until 6:00PM. The hotel allows late check-out until 5:00PM for $55 Euro, which I was more than happy to pay. However, when I explaned the situaation to Reception (and, I assume, the owner), she said if I would pay the accomodation tax of $2.10 Euro, we could have the room for free. Now, that is the best kind of customer service, and this is the type of business that deserves your support. It's a good value, and is most defiately customer-focused.
