Stayed for a couple of nights as we were going to a wedding nearby. A truly beautiful old building ,the rooms were very comfortable, nice big bathroom and very clean .Had one evening meal there which was delicious. Can highly recommend this wonderful find . Thank you

What a magical find hotel coq d or

My wife and I stayed two nights in this historic hotel in Jonzac. A room on the first floor with a beautiful view of the castle but a little dated and mostly dark. A comfortable bathroom, a warm and clean room. An essential but good breakfast.

Very nice hotel with the charm of the old one. Ideal location with sublime views of the square and the pleasant and smiling castle owner I highly recommend And most of all eat on the spot!

Step by step on the vacation road, we found this small restaurant hotel which was perfect. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The climate was appreciated++ and the breakfast was very satisfying. Dinner at the restaurant was superb. Reservation was essential because it was full at 8pm. All the dishes were very good, we tasted each other and the team was very kind to our son. Thank you for this short stay, we will stop again.

We asked if it was possible to see the card (it wasn't displayed outside) the boss gave it to us staring and we threw it almost hard at the table seen are attitude we are going to another restaurant

Hello 2 nights spent in this charming hotel located in the centre of Jonzac Very comfortable, spacious, superb litteries in comfort, impeccable bathroom The hotel offers white - red - blue - black and gold rooms We had the blue room on the side of the street and previously during a previous stay on the white side of the square No noise from both sides Regarding the parking lot, free, it is located on the square in front of the hotel The professionals in charge of this hotel, Alexis and Severine, are very welcoming Small lunch break in a large room adjacent to the entrance and bar in front of the hotel, a number of rooms and chairs to rest, drink and enjoy the dining room, thanks for the ideal views of the castle and allowing for these moments of peaceful break

A very pleasant stay

Whenever you are in Jonzac, make sure you get the chance to have dinner at Le Coq d'or! This stylish restaurant is a bit hidden behind a rather 'bistrot-ish' entrance and next to the hotel part so you can't tell from the outside how great this restaurant is. Not only it is nicely decorated with some beautiful pictures, but you also feel directly at home thanks to the warm welcome. You get great advice on what to choose, also in case of allergies, and finally the food itself is delicious! Highly recommended ... !
Can't tell anything about the hotel as we haven't slept here, but if it is anywhere near the restaurant quality, I guess you have a great stay ...

Very nice room, very spacious and very well decorated, hotel in front of the castle, in the evening we have dinner at the hotel restaurant, excellent food, very good reception, and if you like mojito, it's 5 stars Stay perfect, we'll come back with great pleasure, even if we have to take a detour 👍❤️

Excellent hotel and restaurant address

This huge, completely newly decorated room with balcony on this quiet square, we will not forget it. Unfortunately, upon your return from your trip, the hotel was complete. Family home with small care. Although the restaurant was full, at the reception of our hotel booking, the Boss had reserved a table for us. Excellent terrace restaurant at a very reasonable price.

Unforgettable!

Beautiful hotel in a very quiet town overlooking the Castle.  I booked this Hotel based on reviews on Tripadvisor and so glad that I did.  The rooms were immaculate, extremely spacious, large comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with excellent shower.  The Owners were extremely welcoming and really made you feel at home.  We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night, amazing.  We intended to eat on the second night but we had an evening event to attend in Barbezieux St Hilliare so unfortunately we didn't arrive home until late. Breakfast was very good with excellent coffee.  We enjoyed sitting outside the Hotel overlooking the square and relaxing.  Jonzac is a beautiful quiet little town with quaint shops and a local market held on a Friday with lots of fresh food, impressive to visit.  If you are looking for complete chill, in a little town, in the most beautiful French Hotel with friendly owners, staff and locals with easy access to Bordeaux Airport (1hr 11 min), Anguoleme (51 mins) and Cognac (35 mins).  Very impressive memorable stay and we will return.
