The Hotel was a welcome overnight stay after a gruelling drive but the absolute cream on the cake was the evening meal at the restaurant. Has to be included in my top ten meals ever, not just art on a plate but what an eating experience. It would be worth driving for hours on end just to eat their again.

We drove from Paris to Issodun - took us nearly 4 hours! Arrived at 1.30am - no one was around. But the staff was clever in putting our room keys in a special ATM which is able to dispense the room key.No lift to the rooms (mine happen to be on the 4th floor!), and dead tired. Once you enter the room, you realise that it is clean and well maintained.Easily slept through the night and refreshed for the next morning work.Good no-frills hotel.

Business trip but would like to return for leisure. Small market town hotel, quite quaint. Comfy beds, small balcony on my room. A/C. Courtyard rooms looked lovely with a small terrace to each. Breakfast was good, continental, local yoghurts & cheese, oranges to squeeze for juice.

We stopped here on our way north to Normandy on Easter Sunday. Very charming little place,nothing pretentious. Town was very quiet. Only mistake was that the nice restaurant attached to it was closed Sunday evenings and for some reason I missed it. Rooms are located off a nice well maintained garden which is very pleasant. It was just fine

We booked the hotel as a convienient stopover to the south of France but was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's amazing restaurent which boasted a Michelin star. We opted for the three course menu at Euros 39. The hotels rooms are nice each with a little private garden.

Fantastic restaurant. Room ok but dubious decor. Pleasant surroundings and nice people

Nice hotel in the middle of small town

Rooms are well kept and have a big comfy bed.  I would recommend this hotel for a short stay only though because it is pretty simple, but to be honest you probably won't find any better in the area for the price!  Unfortunately the areas around the room (lift and stairs) had a very funny smell, otherwise I would give this 4 stars. 

Reasonable for a Short Stay

This is about the hotel and not the restaurant in this little French town enroute to Clermont Ferrand. The restaurant is first rate. The hotel is 3rd rate.  Courtyard room out back that we had was very dirty, with the shower just a disgrace. Mold and mildew everywhere. Floors dirty. Toilet itself  dirty.  Management in hotel part had a very don't bother me attitude. Dirty condition of  room and bath just not acceptable.  Restaurant as previously stated was excellent. Eat there but don't stay there.

Disappointed

We stayed 1 night in this hotel and it was quite disappointing:

- shower door leaking
- traces of old pee on the wall in the toilet
- breakfast too much expensive (14.5 euros) and it was just a simple continental breakfast : a few croissants, fruits..It doesn't cost so much!

My husband almost stepped on the pin in the shower (god knows what it was doing there ). When I brought the pin at the reception, a lady smiled and threw a pin away. I had to remind her to bring apologizes !

I do not recommend this hotel.

Too expensive for nothing

Price of the room too much expensive Room is big but darkShower door leaking Spots of urine on the walls of the toiletMy husband almost stepped on the pin in the shower, we had to remind the stuff to bring apologises !Price of the breakfast (14.5 euros) is too high (it is a regular continental breakfast,  nothing special). Think about taking breakfast in the small brasserie at the corner
