We had wanted a hotel in Montpellier, but our last minute decision to stay there resulted in everything already occupied. The Tourist Office in Montpellier suggested Patio del Sol because it is located only a few minutes walk from the tram for an easy ride to the center of the city. The family owned business provides a warm and personal touch. Rooms are a decent size, clean, with plenty of light. The food in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Our only complaint is something that the owners can remedy. There was an attractive, unused fountain on the property with standing water. We both ended up with mosquito bites. The water needs to be drained if the fountain is not operating.
