We have tried quite a few hotels and serviced apartments in the Thonon area over the last year, and Villa Thermae is by far and away the best. If you can get out of the mindset that this is not a hotel, and there is no 24/7 service, then this is the place for you. Beautiful apartments, comfortable beds, lovely showers and bathrooms, well equipped kitchens (except tonight when there was no bottle opener!). The Spa and fabulous treatments are on the doorstep and it is within easy walking distance of the town centre and lakeside. Excellent! The problems with the entry system seem to be sorted, and the only negative is that you have to book your treatments well in advance - if you wait until you get here, there won't be any vacancies! If you like the freedom of self catering, then this is the place.
